At OMR25, opago presented its crypto payment solution for merchants, e-commerce and events — with a focus on Bitcoin Lightning, low transaction costs and easy integration via API or POS terminal. Particularly in demand: digital payment solutions with Bitcoin in retail and e-commerce.
With over 70,000 visitors, OMR (Online Marketing Rockstars) is the largest digital conference in Europe and brings the entire digital and marketing world together at Messe Hamburg once a year. For us, this was the perfect stage to present our bitcoin-based payment solution and our vision for the future of payment methods.
At our booth, we were able to show visitors how easy and efficient digital payments work with the Bitcoin Lightning network. With our solution, retailers, e-commerce companies, and SMEs can accept Bitcoin payments via a crypto payment API or a Bitcoin POS terminal.
Companies can automatically exchange payments for euros or keep Bitcoin & stablecoins. Thanks to our Lightning Network integration, cashless payments with Bitcoin are easier than ever before. Integrated reporting also simplifies accounting and tax requirements — even for DATEV-compatible Bitcoin accounting.
• New target groups through crypto payment methods
• Lower transaction costs compared to credit card fees
• Instant settlement via the Lightning Network
• No chargebacks or chargebacks
• Easy integration into existing ERP and cash register systems
We had many discussions with decision makers from retail, e-commerce and the event industry who showed interest in a crypto-compliant payment solution. Our approach was rated positively, particularly for digital payment solutions at events and Bitcoin payments at festivals.
A highlight was the presentation by our CTO Michael Anton Fischer on the second day of the fair: In the guided tour “Digital Cash — The Future of Payment,” he used practical examples to show the potential of Bitcoin Lightning as a modern payment system.
The OMR25 was a great success for us — a perfect mix of innovation, exchange and inspiration. Thanks to all visitors and in particular to Christian Priepke from OMR for the great on-site support.
We are already looking forward to next year — opago will once again be present in 2026 with innovative solutions for Bitcoin payments and Lightning Payments.
